Our Story

🐾 Welcome to Cat-in-a-Box!

Cat-in-a-Box started as a simple idea — a way for a dad and his son to connect over their shared love of cats.

Four years ago, when my son was just eight years old, we dreamed about creating cat toys that would make cats (and their humans) happy. Life took us in a different direction, but our love for cats — and our desire to spread joy — never faded.

Today, Cat-in-a-Box lives on through cat-themed t-shirts and apparel made for cat lovers everywhere. Our designs celebrate everything we adore about cats: their playfulness, independence, curiosity, and their uncanny ability to bring people together (usually around a box).

At its heart, Cat-in-a-Box is about connection. Cats have a special way of bringing people together — across ages, cultures, and backgrounds. No matter where you come from or what your story is, a shared love of cats creates an instant bond. We believe that joy, humor, and kindness are universal, and cats just happen to be the perfect ambassadors.

Every shirt we make is a soft, wearable reminder that—just like cats—we’re all wonderfully unique. And when we come together, we create something truly purr-fect.

We also believe in caring for the world we all share. That’s why Cat-in-a-Box is committed to 1% for the Planet, donating one percent of our sales to environmental nonprofits working to protect the places we — and future generations of humans and their cats — call home.
